Les Farfadais is an international contemporary circus company and one of the most spectacular and recognizable names on the European scene. Often described as “creators of the unreal,” they bring their imagination to life through extraordinary creative, engineering, and artisanal skills, drawing inspiration from the natural world, classical mythology, and the epic realms of fantasy and adventure cinema.

Founded by brothers Alexandre and Stephane Haffner in 1999, the company has developed an unmistakable stylistic signature over the years, built on a powerful sense of spectacle and extreme attention to set design, costumes, and lighting.

The company operates from three headquarters (France, Spain, and the USA) and is active across the entire globe. In 2001, the celebrated French fashion designer Pierre Cardin discovered them, marking the beginning of a long and fruitful collaboration. Cardin designed and created the costumes for the Les Farfadais production of “Tristan and Isolde,” which was performed worldwide and achieved a remarkable run of 50 shows in Paris alone.

They also stand out for staging grandiose shows in some of the most prominent amusement parks in Europe and beyond: from Mirabilandia to Disneyland Paris, and from Riyadh Season to Bobbejaanland. In 2018-19, the Friedrichstadt-Palast in Berlin hosted the magnificent production “The One Grand Show.” A breathtaking spectacle featuring the acrobatics of Les Farfadais, with direction and costumes by the world-renowned designer Jean Paul Gaultier. The production was seen by a total of more than 800,000 spectators.

Their shows are distinguished by their aesthetic impact and the exceptional technical level of their performances, which seamlessly blend breathtaking acrobatics with a refined dramaturgical structure. This ability to speak a universal language has allowed Les Farfadais to perform in the most prestigious international settings, ranging from traditional theaters and major global events to site-specific productions in unconventional spaces.
