    Virtual Reality is a humorous, evocative, and dynamic exploration of the relationship between the physical and the digital, and the influence that modern media has on our lives. Through a series of scenes ranging from the everyday to the dreamlike—and without the use of words, props, or sets—it perfectly captures the concrete and emotional details of each situation. This is achieved through extraordinary mimetic skill and the plastic flexibility of the four performers on stage, whose bodies transform into whatever their imagination desires.

    An icon of independent music, Cristina Donà, an anthropologist, Elena Dak, and a composer and musical experimentalist, Saverio Lanza (winner of the Tenco Prize in 2015 and already collaborator with Bugo, PGR, Vasco Rossi, Piero Pelù, Biagio Antonacci, Irene Grandi, and Stefano Bollani) come together to tell, through music and words, what unfolds behind every journey, beyond the horizon.

    There is a legend, a curious story: it is said that there is a ghost at the Fenestrelle Fort. There are those who swear they have sensed it, heard it… even seen it. Is it just a trick of the imagination, triggered by the shadows and shifting spaces of an imposing fortress that was once inhabited by hundreds of men? An unconscious desire to evoke its presence? The concert, created specifically for the Narrazioni Parallele Festival and the spaces of the Fenestrelle Fort, is a continuous flow and evolution of musical and sonic identities designed for the audience's active participation.

    The monologue Lady Macbeth - God save the Queen is a rewriting of the Shakespearean work that, while playing with the character and a grotesque style, keeps the power of the tragedy intact. The point of view is exclusively that of the Lady—cruel and bored—who looks upon the world with a pained detachment.

Words, gestures, and music immerse themselves (in the literal sense of the term) in the liquid element, becoming one; they remind us in a vibrant elegy of how strong the power of water is and how fragile the balance we risk breaking truly is.

    A journey that begins with a soul in the universe, like a lost astronaut in contact with planets and stars, contemplating and playing. This soul is called to a journey into matter, with its conflicting tones, its demands, and its weight. Through dance, various metamorphoses occur, transforming the emotional body of the performer and of those participating in the ritual.
    The essence is to shift from viewing matter as a burden to seeing it as a possibility for understanding and a gift. Matter (represented by clothing), instead of being a chimera, a mere ornament, or a weight, is molded to transform itself into a new possibility.
    "Dinastia Sobrietà" is that place where the greatest power lies in essence, the soul, and inner strength; it is an anthem to sobriety, to perceiving the value of simplicity. Is it possible? What kind of strength do we need to achieve this transformation from chaos to order, from wound to talent, from limitation to possibility?

    Body movement alters the perception of Fondazione Merz's architecture, opening up poetic and dreamlike imaginaries.
    It defines new realities that emerge from the action of bodies within the environment. The value of the site-specific is established through the re-definition of a familiar space that becomes unusual, original, and transformed.
    The amplified reality created by the performers resonates as an emotional and physical harmony, providing the spectator with the value of a true sensory experience.

    The musicians of WADI invite the audience on a shared journey, where musical identities are transformed through interaction with the various spaces of Fondazione Merz, giving substance to a continuous germination of new possibilities for engagement, thought, and relationships.
    The Fibonacci sequence (also known as the golden sequence) dictates the rules of evolution in the plant and animal kingdoms and is also a famous work by Mario Merz that illuminates the Foundation's outdoor spaces. The concert, created specifically for the Narrazioni Parallele Festival and the Foundation's spaces, is a continuous flow and mutation of musical and sonic identities designed for active audience participation.

    Nature and technology vibrate together with music in an innovative way, thanks also to the performance of Christoph Hartmann, one of the world's great oboists. A member of the Berlin Philharmonic since 1992, he currently maintains an intensive concert schedule as a soloist in Europe, Asia, and the United States.

    “Frammenti di una matrice pronta a esplodere” (Fragments of a matrix ready to explode) combines the art of sculpture and its gestures with real-time sound processing through a live performance where stone becomes an engraving medium, both musically and physically tangible. Granular synthesis, polymeters of sound objects, microsounds, ripples, dense matter, and imperfections.

    The protagonists of this concert, in the circular space of the Foundation, are the electronic musician Madaski, founder and keyboardist of Africa Unite, who has always been sensitive to the demands of oppressed cultures, the tireless researcher and true activist for the promotion of Occitan culture, Sergio Berardo, and the violin virtuoso Giacomo Agazzini.
    The amplified reality created by the performers resonates as a harmony on an emotional and physical level, giving back to the viewer the value of a true sensory experience.

    Everyone knows the legendary names of Samarkand and Bukhara, placed however in a sort of magical and unreal past. The lands of Central Asia and in particular Uzbekistan are indeed lands of great history and rich cultural crossroads, but they hold within them an artistic and musical vitality waiting to be discovered.

    Even today, moreover, there is a tendency to forget that the production of paper with modern standards was for centuries the heritage of the city of Samarkand. The program of the evening therefore intends to be a double play of perspectives, between Uzbek and European composers, to venture into an unusual landscape. A way of rediscovering the ancient community spirit of Greek Tragedy.

    The Greek myth is revisited in the work of Willy Merz, following the Hellenistic version by Apollonius Rhodes, the famous librarian of Alexandria.
    The story of the love between Jason and Medea is viewed here through a rational, scientific, and unconventional lens. All this makes it a story decidedly in tune with contemporary sensibility, allowing for a play of stylistic references within the score. A unique feature is provided by the choral writing: very simple and entirely in unison, it allows those in the audience who wish to participate in the singing, following a preliminary rehearsal.
    A way of rediscovering the ancient community spirit of Greek Tragedy.
