The monologue Lady Macbeth – God save the Queen is a rewriting of the Shakespearean work that, while playing with the character and a grotesque style, keeps the power of the tragedy intact. Il punto di vista è unicamente quello della Lady, crudele e annoiata, che guarda il mondo con sofferente distacco.

The strength of the monologue lies in the dialogue between the classical and the contemporary, between adherence to the text and its betrayal, through pop culture references and poetic imagery.

Lady Macbeth calls our morality into question and, as she dives deeper within herself, reveals the extreme ferocity of power; she looks us constantly in the eye, showing us the worst of the world (and of ourselves).
