Les Farfadais e Debora Benincasa: “Élégie à l’Eau” | SEPTEMBER 19TH

19 September, 2025 @ 18:30 - 21:00

“ACQUA – LA VOCE DELL’ACQUA, IL PESO DEL CORPO”

3 PERFORMANCES: 6:30 PM-7:30 PM-9:00 PM

“Perché dimenticare il potere dell’acqua e l’interdipendenza dei frammenti?”

An incredible performance on and in the water, dedicated to the fundamental element of life and created specifically for the Festival. Words, gestures, and music immerse themselves (in the literal sense of the term) in the liquid element, becoming one; they remind us in a vibrant elegy of how strong the power of water is and how fragile the balance we risk breaking truly is.

Les Farfadais is one of the most acclaimed acrobatic performance companies in the world. Throughout their 25-year history, they have created daring and breathtaking performances staged across the globe. The Company balances unusual, often avant-garde events with more traditional shows produced across its three locations in France, Spain, and the United States. Over the years, Les Farfadais have collaborated with famous musicians, sharing the stage during concerts and tours with artists such as Kylie Minogue, Alicia Keys, Wyclef Jean, and Johnny Hallyday.

Debora Benincasa is an actress and playwright. A graduate of DAMS in Bologna, she is among the founders of the Anomalia Teatro company. In 2016, she debuted with ANTIGONE – monologo per donna sola (Antigone – Monologue for a Woman Alone), a show she continues to perform with over a hundred stagings to date; it won the Mauro Rostagno Award for best playwriting and was published by Suigeneris. She curated the dramaturgy for Theo – storia del cane che guardava le stelle (Theo – Story of the Dog Who Looked at the Stars), which debuted at the 2019 Turin Fringe Festival. She also wrote and performed Era Meglio nascere topi (Better to Be Born Rats), which won best show at the CrashTest Teatro Festival and the Festival di Teatro Patologico (where she also won best actress) and was selected for the “Il cielo sopra Torino” project at the Teatro Stabile di Torino.
