Not My Value

Partners in life as in art, Not My Value is a psychedelic dark trip-hop duo based in Milan.
Their music is a precarious balance between haunting echoes and dreamlike atmospheres that blend to create sonic reversals. They draw inspiration from cinema, philosophy, and literature, with a particular affinity for the universe of David Lynch.
Fittingly, their live show is a three-act performance (Dream, Limbo, Reality), guided by visuals synchronized with the music and a small robot made of wood and screws that takes the floor, accompanying the audience on an oneiric journey.
Not My Value is a project that unites music, philosophy, and cinema, narrating a dreamlike and liminal dimension through cinematic and trip-hop atmospheres. They are currently touring this concept, which has also been developed across two complementary EPs, Dream | Side A and Reality | Side B, released both physically and digitally via Totally Imported.

Critics have described them as:
“A multisensory show featuring visuals and the narrative voice of the small robot, NMV84. The experience is not merely a suspension in dreamlike abandonment, but a journey toward concreteness. The performance unfolds as a succession of presenters within a loop of copies and citations.
The entire show is a reflection on the role of art—its ability to be authentic and original in an era where finding spaces for true expression has become increasingly difficult.”

“Their concert is not merely a collection of tracks, but a single, continuous flow. There are no breaks, silences, interruptions, or explanations: the pieces follow one another seamlessly, creating an immersive experience that commands attention from start to finish.”
