It was the narrative power of symphonic poems and operas that first led Andraž to fall in love with orchestral music. However, he believes that stories are not limited to program music with specific texts or titles; meaning can be discovered in every piece of music, whether orchestral or chamber. It is precisely this inner meaning that Andraž strives to share with his listeners.

Since 2021, Andraž has served as the new solo bass clarinetist of the Berlin Philharmonic. Between 2019 and 2021, he held a position at the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra Academy.
He has performed with prestigious ensembles including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Vienna Philharmonic, and the Vienna State Opera, collaborating with renowned conductors such as Kirill Petrenko, John Williams, Christian Thielemann, Zubin Mehta, and Daniel Barenboim.
Additionally, he has appeared as guest principal clarinet with the Berlin Philharmonic and the Concertgebouw Orchestra under the baton of conductors including Kirill Petrenko, Gustavo Dudamel, and Sir Simon Rattle.

Andraž has performed as a soloist with the Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival, as well as with the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra.

He is a winner of numerous competitions, including the 2021 Edmund Horwath Prize (awarded to the best wind instrumentalist of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra Academy), as well as the Boris Pergamenschikow, Val Tidone, TEMSIG, and Luigi Zanuccolli competitions.

Andraž studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, initially under Professor Bertram Egger and later with Gerald Pachinger. He also studied chamber music at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin with Professor Martin Spangenberg.
