Rosanna Bribò

Rossana Bribò is one of the most compelling young percussionists on the international scene—a rapidly rising artist capable of blending technical virtuosity, expressive sensitivity, and a strong contemporary vision.

Born in Genoa and trained across Italy, Switzerland, France, and Germany, she has developed a personal and eclectic musical language. She navigates diverse repertoires and styles with natural ease, ranging from classical to contemporary music.

Winner of the First Prize at the PAS Italy International Vibraphone Competition (2019), Rossana quickly established herself, earning recognition from major international masters. The renowned vibraphonist David Friedman highlighted her ability to combine “extraordinary technique with profound emotional sensitivity,” a hallmark of her performances.

Her performance career has taken her to prestigious festivals and concert halls, including the Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Foundation in Milan, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, and the LAC in Lugano, establishing her as a sensitive and versatile performer.

Alongside her concert activities, she is deeply committed to teaching and the transmission of musical knowledge: since 2021, she has taught percussion at the G. Verdi Musical Academy in Chiavari.

Her artistic path is marked by important collaborations (including Kolberg Percussion), participation in masterclasses with artists such as Alexej Gerassimez and Simone Rubino, and multidisciplinary projects like “Corpi Idrici – Sinfonia da una città,” where music intertwines with social and ecological themes.

In 2025, she won the prestigious Respighi Prize, which will lead to her solo debut at Carnegie Hall in New York in 2027—a milestone of extraordinary international significance that marks a key moment in her career.

She collaborates with organizations such as the Turin Philharmonic Orchestra and the Giovine Orchestra Genovese, while continuing to develop new projects across Europe, including at the Merz Foundation in Turin and the Muziekgebouw in Eindhoven.

Her music is a journey in constant evolution: a vivid, intense, and contemporary exploration projected toward the future.
